We are living in a time when we have forgotten that we are part of nature and we belong to each other. We are feeling a sense of anxiety, divisiveness, dis-ease, and hopelessness as we watch the decline of the health of our soil and water.
This is a present day story of humanity. We know that every good story has heroes and heroines who are challenged by an ordeal that they have to navigate and overcome. How we navigate this challenge is up to us. It is our choice what happens next.
What has remained clear each step of the way is that our vision and mission revolve around creating a reciprocal, "full circle" relationship between humans and nature.
Our vision at Badger Creek Ranch Community is a world in balance: a world where we are once again connected to nature, our teacher and healer, and we feel the interconnectedness of all living things, none more important or less important than any other. We can collaboratively write our own story; a new story that is inclusive and tolerant of the needs of both humans and nature, allowing all involved the joy that can only come from living a fully authentic life.
We believe that healthy relationships are the foundation of life. Something special happens when humans have the opportunity to connect with nature on a deep level -- whether through relationship with a horse, or the experience of caring for livestock, or reversing erosion and restoring soil health -- the connection is made and the healing begins.
